Keep a vehicle in view. Keep its journeys private.
A GPS tracker can help you find a car, bike or valuable piece of equipment. CipherGPS adds a choice about the journey data: Private encrypts records after brief server processing; Ghost encrypts location on the tracker itself.
Two approaches to vehicle location.
Private can work with compatible third-party GPS trackers and protects stored location history with your devices' keys. Ghost uses CipherGPS custom firmware to encrypt location before it leaves the tracker. Choose based on the hardware you need and how early you want encryption to begin.
For compatible hardware
Location reaches our servers over a secure connection. We process it briefly in memory, encrypt location and IMEI immediately, then discard the readable packet. Your authorised devices can decrypt the saved history.

Our custom-firmware tracker encrypts each location before upload. CipherGPS routes and stores encrypted data without reading the route. Only your authorised devices can decrypt it.

Network availability is only one part of a working tracker. The device also needs suitable mobile bands and hardware for the destination. Our car devices are intended for Europe where local coverage is available. For use outside Europe, ask us about another device type before ordering.

No server alert rules run as standard. The optional desktop companion can connect to your vault and check movement, geofences and low battery locally. It can send SMS, email or push notifications while your PC is on and the app is running.

Is CipherGPS an insurance-approved tracker?
Private and Ghost are not advertised as Thatcham-certified. If an insurer requires an approved device, confirm its exact standard before buying. CipherGPS focuses on protecting location data.
Can the tracking company read previous journeys?
Saved Private history and IMEI are encrypted to your devices' keys and unreadable to us. Ghost location is encrypted before transmission, so our servers cannot read its live or saved route.
Does a coverage map guarantee a connection?
No. It shows listed network availability, not a guarantee at a particular street, building or route. Hardware compatibility and local conditions matter too.
